The ship Amerigo Vespucci has arrived in Hawaii

The ship Amerigo Vespucci, a historic sailing vessel and Training Ship of the Italian Navy, has arrived in Hawaii, at the port of Honolulu, for the twenty-first stop of its World Tour.

Welcoming the "Italian ambassador in the world" were Mayor Rick Blangiardi, the Consul General of Italy in San Francisco Sergio Strozzi, and the Honorary Consul in Hawaii Michele Carbone.

This is the second visit to the capital for the Amerigo Vespucci, the last being in 2002. The ship will be docked at Pier 9 near the Aloha Tower until July 28 and will be open for free visits every day.

The World Tour of the ship Amerigo Vespucci is not only a training opportunity for the Officer cadets but also an occasion to promote the excellence of Made in Italy.
