The best wine in the world is a Brunello di Montalcino
The American magazine Wine Spectator awarded the prize to the bottle of Brunello di Argiano 2018. This is the fifth time in history that an Italian label has received the award.
The 2018 Argiano thus becomes the second Brunello to win the most important award in the globe, after the success of Tenuta Nuova di Casanova di Neri in 2001.
“This honour is a source of pride not only for Argiano, but for the entire Brunello denomination and the country” comments Gabriele Gorelli, Master of Wine.
The award is aimed not only at the wine itself, but at the company's relaunch project, which has been going on for ten years now.
A wine that, according to Gorelli, represents the Italian style, austere and friendly.
