The “Week of Italian Cuisine in the World” has reached its 8th edition. It aims to enhance the excellence of the Italian food and wine sector and increase exports and tourist flows.
This new edition was presented to the Farnesina by the deputy prime minister and foreign minister, Antonio Tajani, and the Minister of Agriculture and Food Sovereignty, Francesco Lollobrigida. Lollobrigida also anticipated that on December 14th in Washington it will be announced that some astronauts will eat Italian food in the quarantine preceding their mission and then will bring Italian food with them.
The “Week of Italian Cuisine in the World” has seen 9,200 international initiatives take place from 2016 to today. They include seminars on the Mediterranean diet, meetings with economic operators in the sector, training and demonstration classes, meetings with chefs.
