Salone del Mobile 2024
The 62nd edition of the "Salone del Mobile", scheduled to take place from April 16th to 21th at the Fiera Milano Rho, is set to be a major event for the international design industry, characterised by evolution and innovation. During the press conference held at the Piccolo Teatro Strehler, a special focus emerged on the ecological transition and the optimisation of the layouts and routes of the main exhibition sectors, such as EuroCucina with FTK, Technology for the Kitchen, and the Salone Internazionale del Bagno. This re-launch is based on the 'human.at.the.center' philosophy and on the collaboration with Lombardini22, a leading architecture and engineering group in Italy.
One of the main innovations is the total redistribution of the pavilions, aimed at grouping exhibitors according to content and target audience, in order to improve the visitor experience. The chosen ring-shaped route makes the visit more intuitive and easier to follow, with stands positioned along the outer walls and wider paths to facilitate orientation. Cultural installations and relaxation areas were also added to counteract the fatigue typical of long trade fair visits. In addition, the overall length of the route was reduced to 640 metres, making the visit time more efficient than the previous 1.2 kilometres.
Regarding digital services, packages with a variety of digital and communication product solutions will be introduced, as well as matchmaking and booking services for stand appointments to optimise time during the fair and foster quality contacts in real time. For visitors, online ticket purchasing, exhibitor locating and visit preparation services will be available with a wide range of dedicated services.
