Orient Express, Made in Italy restoration: Accor chooses “Ma Group Ferroviaria”
The upcoming luxury Orient Express will have an Italian touch. The famous French hotel company, Accor, has selected Italy's MA Group Ferroviaria to carry out this ambitious project, worth more than 100 million euros, which includes the creation of a train consisting of 18 carriages and the management of a complete service for a period of 15 years.
Accor recovered these valuable carriages from several European countries, including Poland, Germany, France and Switzerland. MA Group, in collaboration with Accor, will be responsible for the design and integration of all the systems, including the interior and decoration, that will be installed on the train to ensure compliance with the high standards of the Orient Express, for which the Accor Group holds the prestigious brand name.
The new train, called Orient Express Nostalgie Istanbul, will be delivered between the end of 2025 and the beginning of 2026, representing a perfect synthesis of centuries-old tourist railway tradition and state-of-the-art technology, crossing numerous European countries on its way.
