« Go back Italy's Nautical Excellence: Leading the world in Boat exports
During the 63rd “Salone nautico di Genova” the president of Confindustria nautica, Saverio Cecchi, emphasized that Italy is without a doubt the world's leading exporter of boats and yachts. This is even more impressive considering that, as of June 2023, the total value of exports exceeded the remarkable figure of 3.7 billion euros. By 2022, the industry had already achieved a record total turnover of 7.33 billion euros.
Carlo Bonomi, President of Confindustria, praised this industry as a true icon of Italian excellence. This industry is experiencing a period of prosperity, in contrast to other sectors that have suffered significant slowdowns. It is an industry that has successfully combined innovation and sustainability, the result of the tenacity and determination of entrepreneurs in this field. Not least, Italy stands as the unchallenged world leader in the sector, with Italian factories exporting as much as 88 % of their output abroad.
