« Go back Italy: first in Europe for hosted congresses
According to the annual report by ICCA (International Congress and Convention Association), Italy is the top destination in Europe for hosted congresses and conventions in the year 2023. In just five years, Italy has moved from sixth to first place. This achievement is the result of years of growth in the sector.
Globally, Italy ranks second, behind the United States. Italy is the only nation among the top-ranked ones that has increased the number of hosted congresses compared to 2022.
The country boasts the highest number of cities in the global top 100 (7 in total). In the 7th position, we find Rome, 29th is Milan, 47th is Bologna, 60th is Florence, 66th is Naples, 78th is Turin, and 84th is Venice.
