Italy and Serbia for the defense of agribusiness quality

Minister of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry Francesco Lollobrigida attended the opening of the International Agriculture Fair in Novi Sad, meeting with Serbian Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Jelena Tanasković.

"With Serbia we want to work together to strengthen and defend an agribusiness model based on quality. The alternative, that of standardized or laboratory-produced food, is not compatible with our production system and civilization. On Italy's part, there is total willingness to work synergistically with anyone who wants to reason and act starting from this principle," the minister said.

"We hope that many other nations will espouse this model to give life to an increasingly strong, non-selfish cooperation, also aimed at strengthening the economies of developing countries, which must be able to have food for their populations that is sufficient but also of quality. We must work not for tomorrow but for the day after tomorrow, thinking about what can happen to future generations," Lollobrigida concluded.
