The 24th World Truffle Auction, a charity event organized by Enoteca Regionale Piemontese Cavour, was held on November 12. On that occasion, philanthropists from all over the world gather every year.
Every year brings philanthropists from all over the world, benefactors and even big fans from Hong Kong, Singapore and Vienna, as well as Frankfurt.
The star was the final batch consisting of twin 1,004-gram “trifole”, flown to Hong Kong for the remarkable sum of HK$1.1 million, corresponding to €130,000. Price similar to a luxury car, or a Rolex watch and a flat.
The total amount reached by the auction is €482,760, which will be donated to charitable initiatives worldwide.
