« Go back CNA and Africa, new Routes: Fashion and Design
The 9th edition of the Italy Africa Business Week (IABW), recently held in Rome, confirmed the central role of
Italian small and medium-sized enterprises in the growth process of the African
continent. CNA (National Confederation of Craftsmanship and Small and
Medium-Sized Enterprises) was among the key participants, promoting the
combination of training and promotion as the cornerstone for Italian exports in
emerging markets.
At the heart of the debate, the panel dedicated to "Fashion and Design" illustrated how Italian quality and expertise can integrate with local realities through industrial cooperation projects. Key initiatives presented included Lab Innova Moda in Nigeria, the Mozambique Fashion Forum, and the Italia Smart Living project in Rwanda, which focuses on furniture and interior design.
For Italian companies, these projects
represent privileged access channels to high-potential countries such as
Ethiopia, Uganda, Ghana, Tunisia, Senegal, and Mozambique. The B2B approach
promoted by CNA aims to create solid partnerships that go beyond simple supply,
including skill transfer and professional training—essential elements to ensure
the long-term sustainability of investments.
